Earlier in the week I asked for information regarding imagery that may
indicate evidence of the Algae bloom occurring in the Chesapeake Bay and
many of its tributaries. I did receive replies from a few folks and I
thank you for the input. I am attaching below the "Envirocast Update" we
have sent to our media partners today so you can get a good idea of what
we are delivering to the media.
This particular Envirocast involved many organizations and agencies over
the last several days including GMU, Maryland Department of Natural
Resources, EPA, Modis Rapid Response Team, NBC4 WRC-TV in Washington,
DC. This rapid coordination and creation of this Envirocast is an
excellent example of joining the expertise of multiple organizations. If
you have any comments or feedback, please let me know. Thanks. This is
